Description

Ranked highest in reliability for 8 consecutive years.

A high capacity, sophisticated analyzer that provides useful clinical parameters to assist physicians in better patient care. Comprehensive reticulocyte analysis was extended to include reticulocyte hemoglobin concentration RET-He. Immature platelets as a percentage of total platelets are also available. Body fluid analysis provides 7 parameters including 2-part WBC differential. Sysmex is shaping the future of laboratories.

Advanced Technology Solutions to Meet Your Laboratory's Needs

Even with these challenges, demand for hematology testing remains stable or continues to grow. Laboratories are looking for hematology analyzers that can increase productivity and efficiency while providing enhanced clinical information. The Sysmex XE-5000™ is designed to be scalable, reliable and efficient, providing mid to high volume laboratories with an automated hematology system that can truly meet and exceed their expectations. The XE-5000 simplifies your workflow by providing rapid testing of up to 150 samples per hour for fast turnaround times.

For several years now, the laboratory has been facing many challenges. These questions include clinical, operational and financial issues such as:

The need for clinically relevant information
Medical Technician Labor Shortage
Increased workload
Faster turnaround time required
High reliability requirements
Limited lab budget

The Sysmex XE-5000 automated hematology system utilizes fluorescence flow cytometry and hydrodynamic focusing technology. Sysmex fluorescence flow cytometry uses a unique, state-of-the-art diode laser stage that provides the sensitivity needed to measure and differentiate cell types in whole blood and body fluid samples. Fluorescence technology and hydrodynamic focusing enable the XE-5000 to consistently differentiate normal WBC, RBC, and PLT populations from abnormal populations, thereby reducing the number of manual interventions.

Immature granulocyte count

The Sysmex XE-5000 provides a 6-part differential which includes immature granulocyte counts (IG%, #). IG counts provide reportable, quantitative results, including myeloid, myeloid, and promyeloid cells.

IG Stats offers:

Increased accuracy and sensitivity:

• Reduced incidence of false positives and false negatives
• Achieve consistency of results by reducing technique-to-technique variance in manual variance reporting

Improved workflow:

• Fewer manual variances means faster turnaround time (TAT)

Labor saving:

• Fewer manual slide reviews improve lab efficiency and support higher lab output

Fluorescent nucleated red blood cells

NRBC measurements provide:
• Improved low-end sensitivity
• Rapid reporting to assist physicians in patient diagnosis and treatment decisions
• Efficient automatic correction of WBC and Diff results
• Reduce the incidence of false negatives and false positives by separating wbc and nrbc in advance
• Compatible with all CBC

XE-5000 technology provides clinically relevant, reportable parameters for:
• NRBC - fluorescent NRBC count with excellent sensitivity and specificity
• PLT-o-fluorescent optical platelet counting and conventional impedance PLT counting for improved accuracy of very low and very high PLT counts
• Retic - fluorescent reticulocyte count to reduce manual confirmation methods and their inherent errors

Hemoglobin levels measure the amount of iron in red blood cells to assist doctors in the evaluation and management of anemia (for example, functional iron deficiency anemia)
• IPF - Immature Platelet Fraction (measures reticulated platelets), which helps doctors monitor the thrombogenic activity of the bone marrow
• HPC - Quantitative hematopoietic progenitor cell count as a screen that physicians use to determine the presence of hematopoietic progenitor cells in peripheral blood and cord blood samples

fluorescent reticulocyte count
Known as the "gold standard" in reticulocyte testing, the fluorescent reticulocyte count is available on the XE-5000. Sysmex offers on-board retic testing in dedicated lanes, increasing your efficiency in reporting reticulocytes 24 hours a day.
By using fluorescent technology, the retic channel ensures:
• Precise mesh % and #
• Improve the information of immature reticulocytes, which is convenient for doctors to diagnose and treat early
• Eliminates common interference from Howell-Jolly bodies, Pappenheimer bodies, and immature reticulocytes to avoid manual counting
Reticulocyte hemoglobin assay (RET-He)
