The Spectrafuge™ 16M is the perfect, high-speed, compact microcentrifuge. The brushless, maintenance-free motor accelerates and decelerates the 18 place rotor extremely quickly, making the Spectrafuge 16M the quietest microcentrifuge in its class. The Spectrafuge 16M is equipped with an 18 place rotor for 1.5/2.0 ml tubes. The StripSpin" rotor adapter is optional for holding of two 8 x 0.2 ml strips. Speed and time are set by the control knob on the front panel of the device. The "Quick" button allows instantaneous operation. Continuous ambient air flows through the rotor cavity to keep the rotor and sample cool. For the samples that require sub-ambient temperature, Spectrafuge 16M can be operated in a cold room.
