The Sona sCMOS Camera is manufactured by Andor Technology. The Sona 4.2B-6 model uses a 4.2 million pixel back-illuminated sensor with 6.5 µm pixels. A QE of 95% maximizes the signal collection rate, combined with -45°C thermoelectric cooling to achieve the lowest noise floor. Sona 4.2B-6 can also reach a speed of 74 frames per second in the full range of 16-bits, making it also suitable for imaging of dynamic cellular processes. It can be achieved to provide excellent performance in the most demanding imaging applications.
