The Silver Shield^® Gloves manufactured by Siebe North adopts high-tech Norfoil laminate to provide a protective barrier against 280 hazardous chemicals and mixtures including: acetone, benzene, epoxy resin, methanol, MEK, sodium hydroxide, sulfuric acid (93%), toluene and trichloroethylene.
The gloves are made of five layers of fabric with a compacted thickness of 2.7 mil. Laminating high-energy polymers (EVOH) and low-energy polymers (PE) together can make the fabric remain impermeable to at least 90% of organic chemicals at 35°C for 4 hours.
