The Silicone Lab Mat from Heathrow Scientific is an economical solution that helps keep benchtops clean and safe, preventing stains, spills and wear. After the mat is used, it can be easily cleaned with any standard disinfectant by simply wiping it or putting it in the dishwasher for repeated use. This helps reduce waste and makes it more environmentally friendly than other paper pads.
The laboratory pad can be used with items such as centrifuges, vortex mixers, hot plates, stirrers, pipettes, etc. When using the mat with a magnetic stirrer, there is a designated area with an internal metal insert to prevent the stir bar from wandering around the work surface. The lip-shaped design around the outer edge of the mat helps prevent spills that may occur during use, thereby keeping the benchtops safe and clean.
