The Sierra SPR-32 Surface Plasmon Resonance System is manufactured by Bruker Corporation.
From initial screening to detailed kinetic characterization and thermodynamics measurements, the Sierra SPR-32 system enables high-throughput surface plasmon resonance (SPR) analysis of molecular interactions.
Equipped with 32 individually addressable detection spots, this highly sensitive real-time, label-free analytical system is uniquely configured to provide active and control binding data for small molecules, fragments, proteins, peptides, antibodies and nucleic acids.
Despite its ability to test a single sample at a time, the Sierra SPR-32 system is a robust instrument designed for high-throughput applications, including epitope binning or mapping, antibody, fragment, and small molecule screening. The simultaneous injection of up to eight samples facilitates the development and optimization of high-throughput assays as well as the rapid quantitative analysis of crude and purified samples.
Sierra SPR-32 utilizes eight injection needles to address the 32 detection spots. Using the Individual Needle Control (INC) feature, researchers can select any combination of one to eight needles. INC maximizes performance, flexibility, and scope of applications while saving time and materials when throughput is not the primary concern. The instrument is capable of using up to four buffers at the same time. Through the ability to evaluate pH, ionic strength, detergent concentrations, and co-factors and inhibitors in a single assay, simpler, optimized assays can be developed that have the potential to increase productivity and throughput.
