It incorporates a pre-filled proprietary preservation buffer that stabilizes nucleic acids (DNA and RNA), proteins, or microorganisms at ambient temperature for extended transit without requiring cold-chain infrastructure. The tube is used for the collection of saliva, oral swab, urine, feces, nasopharyngeal swab, and other specimen types for nucleic acid extraction and PCR-based diagnostic assays. The collection funnel or swab interface is designed for direct specimen delivery into the preservation buffer, minimizing the steps between collection and sample inactivation.
