PROTEINDEX™ rProtein L Sepharose 4 Fast Flow is an affinity chromatography medium designed for simple one-step purification of immunoglobulins, as well as Fab, scFv immunoglobulins, from laboratory and process scale biological fluids and cell culture media fragment.

Protein L was first isolated from the surface of the strain Peptostreptoccus magnus, and now recombinant protein L is obtained through gene recombination technology. Unlike protein A and protein G, which bind primarily through the Fc region of immunoglobulins, protein L binds the variable region of antibody kappa light chains and binds a broader range of Ig classes and subclasses. Therefore, Protein L is particularly suitable for capturing antibody fragments of various sizes, such as Fab fragments, single-chain variable fragments (scFv) and domain antibodies (dAbs). Also suitable for purification of mouse cell IgM.

PROTEINDEX™ rProtein L Sepharose 4 Fast Flow utilizes the stable thioether linkage between rProtein L and cross-linked Sepharose beads and is optimized for high binding capacity of immunoglobulins.
