PROTEINDEX™ rProtein G Sepharose 4FF is an affinity chromatography medium designed for simple one-step purification of immunoglobulins, especially most mammalian IgG isotypes, and fusion proteins containing Fc regions.

Protein G was derived from Streptococcus strain G148. It contains the binding site for the Fc portion of mammalian IgG. Native protein G has 3 IgG binding domains as well as albumin and cell surface binding sites. Our recombinant protein G contains only the IgG binding domain, but no albumin recognition domain, and is therefore compatible with purification protocols that require the presence of fetal bovine serum (FBS) or serum albumin.

PROTEINDEX™ rProtein G Agarose 4FF exhibits superior binding specificity for IgG species, enables single-step purification of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies with a purity of over 95%, and is ideal for purification of IgG from various sources, including tissue culture and serum crude sample. Backed by a rigid, highly cross-linked matrix, this product is versatile and has good chemical resistance. It is easily adaptable to protocols in various formats under a wide range of chemical conditions.
