ProDSS Total Algae PE Sensor, YSI (CAT#: STEM-AIAE-0221-ZJF)

The ProDSS Total Algae PE Sensor manufactured by YSI is a dual-channel fluorescence-based sensor with a channel for chlorophyll a, which is present in all algae, and a channel for phycocyanin, which is common in freshwater blue-green algae. It is used for the early detection of blue-green algae that may cause harmful algal blooms, and the chlorophyll channel is applicable to all types of problematic algae, including red tides and brown tides.
It is ideal for applications such as beach monitoring, vertical or horizontal profiling, and monitoring for potentially toxic algae in sources of water when used in conjunction with the ProDSS system.
The sensors feature welded titanium construction and military-specified connectors that can withstand rugged field conditions. As all smart sensors have onboard memory and processing, rezeroing of the sensor can be performed on site rather than in the laboratory.
