This specialized fume hood is custom-designed for perchloric acid applications. It features an integrated alkaline water neutralization and circulation system located behind the deflector, serving as the primary neutralization mechanism. This system prevents the accumulation of high-concentration perchloric acid residues, thereby reducing the risk of hazardous chemical reactions such as combustion, explosion, or excessive heat generation.
