Description
PlasmidCap Chromstar® HP is a thiophilic affinity chromatography medium designed for the separation and purification of target molecules through electron donor-acceptor interactions. These interactions are enhanced in high-salt environments and weakened in low-salt environments.
PlasmidCap Chromstar® HP selectively binds to closed-circle supercoiled plasmid DNA, while not binding to open-circle plasmid DNA, making it ideal for preparing high-quality plasmid DNA. This medium couples the sulfur-containing compound 2-mercaptopyridine to the Chromstar® HP agarose base frame, with finer particle sizes providing better resolution.
