Description

The PHD-4 Sniffer is manufactured by Agilent Technologies and its unique SIPD (Selective Ion Pump Detection) technology makes the PHD-4 sensitive to helium concentrations, enabling it to detect helium concentrations as low as 2 ppm, which corresponds to a leak rate of 5 x 10 ^-6 atm-cc/s and is far superior to other leak detection methods.

Specification

Minimum helium detection concentration: 2 ppm
Minimum detectable leak:
5 × 10-6 atm-cc/s
5 × 10-6 mbar-L/s
5 × 10-7 Pa-m3/s
Response time: <2 s
Recovery time (from 50 to 0 ppm): <10 s
Power requirements: The battery pack, vehicle battery or transformer should provide 12 V DC voltage.
Start-up time (including self-test): 3 min (approximately)
Transformer power supply: 110-240 V, 50-60 Hz
Sealed removable battery pack: 4 hours of use when fully charged
Storage ambient temperature: -20 to + 60 °C (4 to 140 °F)
Working ambient temperature: -5 to +35 °C (20 to 95 °F)
Maximum relative humidity: 90%
Weight (base module with battery): 5.7 lbs (2.6 kg)

Features

• PHD-4 with battery weighs only 26 kg (57 lbs)
• Fully automatic startup settings
• Advanced microprocessor control makes operation greatly simplified
• Can work with battery or connect to socket
• Wide range of uses: Can replace or combine with existing methods (such as bubble leak detection or pressure attenuation leak detection)
• Start testing within 3 minutes
• Excellent selectivity to helium
• Helium sensitivity can be adjusted as needed to minimize test cost and helium consumption
