The 19400157 is a thermal cycler designed for DNA amplification through the polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Peltier-based thermoelectric modules provide rapid heating and cooling of the sample block for efficient thermal cycling. A heated lid maintains constant pressure and temperature on the tube caps to prevent condensation of sample vapor during cycling. The gradient function allows simultaneous application of different annealing temperatures across columns of the sample block, enabling rapid PCR optimization.
