Non-Targeted Metabolic Flux Analysis (CAT#: STEM-MB-0107-WXH)

Introduction

Classical metabolomics can reflect the changes of metabolites in the body and the pathways that may be activated, but the same metabolite may participate in multiple metabolic pathways without changing its abundance.
Metabolic networks are complex and dynamic, and metabolomics can only provide static information on metabolite abundance, so there is still a limitation, which can be well compensated by metabolic flow analysis.
The non-targeted metabolic flux analysis (MFA) can study the dynamic changes of metabolic flow over time, not limited to specific metabolic pathways, and the analysis of metabolic flow groups through metabolic pathways can explain how metabolites change in biological pathways, which can elevate the study of metabolomics to a higher level.

Applications

1. Genetic engineering
• Improve target metabolites of genetically engineered bacteria
• Metabolic function changes before and after genetic modification
2. Disease mechanism
• Unraveling the Mechanism of Personalized Therapy of Tumor Metabolism Inhibitors
• Markers for early diagnosis of disease occurrence and development
3. Metabolic reprogramming
• Mechanism of immune and metabolic reprogramming of inflammatory macrophages
• Metabolic reprogramming mechanism of plant chloroplast

Procedure

1. Isotope labeling culture
2. Sample detection
3. Data processing
