Basket screen/or bag filter
A basket screen is installed in a concrete channel at the inlet for screening of the influent. This collects the large and floating particles in the feed stream. The bar screen provided is specifically capable of removing particles of size 2 mm and above.

Chemical Dosing
The pretreated wastewater then flows by pumping into the chemical mixer tank to removal of the oil,TSS etc. Chemicals with the suitable PH such as coagulants (e.g., aluminum sulfate, ferric chloride) are dosed into the mixer tank to neutralize the charges on oil droplets/ suspended solids and then form larger particles (flocs) that can be more easily removed. The polymeric flocculants (e.g., polyacrylamide) may be added to enhance the aggregation of coagulated particles and improve the settling or flotation of the oil and TSS. Most of the oil and TSS will be sedimentation .The treated water will flow to the next stage.

Lamella tube settler
Lamella tube settlers offer several advantages in water and wastewater treatment processes. They provide a compact and efficient solution for sedimentation and clarification, allowing for a smaller footprint compared to traditional settling tanks. They also have a higher loading capacity, as the inclined plates increase the effective settling area. Additionally, lamella tube settlers can be retrofitted into existing clarifiers to improve their performance.

Submerged Ultrafiltration
In a submerged UF system, the membrane modules are typically submerged in a tank or a module housing. The water to be treated is pumped through the membrane modules, and the pressure difference across the membrane drives the filtration process. As water passes through the membrane, the suspended solids and other contaminants are retained on the feed side of the membrane, forming a concentrated sludge or retentate.

Multimedia filter
UF permeated water will be polished in a sand filter and activated carbon filter to remove remaining suspended solids, organics, odors and colours in the water. The multimedia filter will be equipped with backwash pumps and blowers to maintain the efficiency of the filters. The filtered water will then be stored in the Treated Water tank for reuse / backwash.

Treated Water Tank
A storage tank will be installed and shall be used to store treated water that will be reused and UF backwash for car washing purpose. The TSE tank provided is a plastic round tank.
