Refurbished HP 7694 headspace autosampler (p/n G1289A). A headspace autosampler provides an aliquot of the headspace of a sample vial to the analytical instrument. The sample thermostated in the oven for a well-defined time to reach an equilibrium between solid/liquid phase and gas phase.
Following a pressurization and venting step the sample loop is filled with the analyte molecules. Afterwards the content of the sample loop is transferred by the carrier gas over the transfer line to the measurement set-up.
