The GE AKTA prime plus is a compact and versatile one-step purification system designed to perform general purification tasks including affinity chromatography, buffer exchange, ion exchange, gel filtration and HIC. The AKTA prime system works efficiently with most prepackaged columns such as HiTrap, HiPrep, and HiLoad columns, making it easy to snap a unit on one side.

Equipped with a front panel LCD display and easy-to-use buttons, the GE AKTA prime plus offers high reproducibility and user convenience. This compact system includes a control system, monitor, pump and fraction collector, as well as valves for buffer selection, sample injection, gradient formation and diversion.

The GE AKTA prime plus LC system also features pre-programmed methods for common applications such as purification of affinity-tagged proteins, monoclonal antibodies, and sample cleanup.
