The Fully Automatic Microtome YD-355AT is an automatic microtome for producing thin sections from embedded specimens. A motorized feed system advances the specimen toward the cutting element with controlled motion. The operator can select sectioning and trimming conditions through the instrument controls. The specimen clamp supports alignment before a cutting sequence begins. Retraction and handwheel control reduce contact between the specimen and the cutting edge during the return stroke. Compatible blade or knife carriers allow the cutting assembly to be configured for the intended specimen. Safety locks, guards, and stop functions support controlled operation around the cutting area. The instrument is intended for biological, medical, and materials laboratories requiring repeatable section preparation.
