FrameStar Breakable Vertically PCR Plates, Low Profile manufactured by Azenta Life Sciences feature 2-component design to prevent distortion of tube strips. These rigid PCR plate can be broken into smaller plate sections. The wells of this low profile plate are shorter than those of standard profile plate (4ti-1000), reducing the "dead space" between the sample and the heated lid of the thermal cycler, which eliminates condensation on the side wall of the tube, preventing reduction in PCR volume and increasing the efficiency of the reaction.
