The EveryDay Specimen Containers manufactured by Alpha Laboratories are designed for day to day, routine handling of liquid or solid specimen such as collection, transportation and storage. The jars are made from durable polypropylene. EveryDay Specimen Containers are food contact approved and have been tested for suitability with aggressive chemicals such as formaldehyde. They are widely used in a range of applications such as pathology, histology, water sampling and metals analysis. The high-clarity jar is skirted with a flat base for easy observation of content volumes. A process validation has been carried out on these disposable plastic specimen containers to ensure the unique “double seal” closure technology remains leak-proof under a pressure differential of not less 95 kPa (0.95 bar,14 psi). The jars are only certified to be leak-proof to 95kPa when used with the EveryDay range of colour caps. This certification makes them suitable for sample transport according to UN3373 packaging instructions, when combined with appropriate secondary and tertiary packaging such as Rigid Flexible Packaging Systems.
