Description

The Embedding Center Cold Plate YD-R is a stand-alone cooling plate used with paraffin embedding workflows. It receives tissue molds or cassettes after molten paraffin has been dispensed and the specimen has been oriented. The refrigerated surface removes heat from the paraffin to form a stable block. Independent operation allows the plate to be positioned beside a compatible embedding workstation. Automated control maintains the selected cooling condition during repeated use. The broad surface supports organized placement of multiple molds. Protection functions support stable refrigeration operation in the laboratory. The unit is intended for pathology and histology laboratories preparing blocks for sectioning.
