This compact disc filter is designed for small-volume liquid filtration and sterile-gas applications. It uses a polypropylene housing and support layer around a microporous PTFE membrane. High-frequency ultrasonic welding seals the filter without conventional adhesive bonding. Liquid versions are available for fine filtration at 0.22 or 0.45 µm. The gas version provides a stated filtration rating of 0.02 µm. The disposable construction simplifies installation and eliminates routine housing cleaning. High flow and throughput support use with small bioreactors and laboratory filtration assemblies. The unit can be sterilized by ethylene oxide or repeated steam autoclaving. Integrity and differential-pressure specifications support verification before critical service.
