The Confocal Raman and Atomic Force Microscope alpha500 is the first instrument on the market to combine confocal Raman imaging and atomic force microscopy in a fully automated integrated system. It not only allows high-resolution surface topography imaging using AFM at many different sample locations, but also allows Raman imaging, large-area Raman scanning and multi-point spectral acquisition at any number of user-defined measurement points. The AFM and Raman data at the same sample location can then be matched and linked together to understand the characteristics of the sample more fully.
