The compact magnetic stirrer is a laboratory magnetic mixing device designed for mixing electrospray collection solutions. It rotates a magnetic stir bar to keep suspended microspheres distributed throughout the receiving liquid. The compact platform is configured for vessels used during laboratory microsphere collection. A rotary knob provides direct adjustment of stirring speed. The brushless direct-current motor supports continuous low-maintenance operation. The waterproof-rated housing provides basic protection against incidental liquid exposure. The unit can be positioned below an electrospray collection vessel without a complex mechanical linkage. The stirrer supports uniform collection conditions during microsphere and microcapsule preparation.
