Benchtop Centrifuge

Centrifuges separate or concentrate substances suspended in a liquid medium by density. Benchtop, also known as tabletop, centrifuges have smaller throughputs and cannot provide high-end g-forces compared with floor models, but can accommodate most applications. Benchtop centrifuges are used for applications including tissue culture, protein work, DNA/RNA research, and cell harvesting. Benchtop centrifuges have the advantage of a small foot print; laboratories with limited space can accommodate this instrumentation. Compact centrifuges are used in both research and clinical laboratories for many applications including filtration, sedimentation, and column chromatography.
