The C-Type PTFE magnetic stir bar set provides multiple stir-bar sizes for laboratory liquid mixing. It includes seven PTFE-coated magnetic stir bars and a pair of handling tweezers. The size selection allows the set to be matched with different flat-bottom containers. Each stir bar contains a neodymium-iron-boron magnet that responds to the rotating field of a magnetic stirrer. The resulting motion distributes dissolved and suspended materials throughout the solution. PTFE surfaces resist most strong acids, strong alkalis, organic solvents, and common laboratory chemicals. The low surface tension and friction coefficient reduce adhesion and support smooth stirring. The coating also offers low-temperature toughness and long-term resistance to environmental exposure.
