Delta-Cast^® Printed Cast Tape is made of lightweight, latex-free polyester yarn that conforms easily, without any tuck or fold, as well as dangerous pressure points. Secure lamination provides excellent durability and reduces the risk of breakdown, as well as offers smoother edges and reduces the risk of snagging. The finish is smooth, without the roughness of fiberglass casts.
The synthetic resin provides a reliable 3 minute working window. During this time, a special slip agent surfactant allows the medical practitioner to easily mold and adjust as needed. Delta-Cast^® Prints Polyester Cast Tape is weight bearing within 20 minutes after activation, greatly reducing the time spent in the casting room.
Delta-Cast^® Printed Cast Tape is 100% radiolucent, allowing for clearer X-ray images, which allows the physician to make more accurate readings without need to remove cast.
The Polyester Casting Tape is totally waterproof, able to survive spills or light water contact. When using with water resistant cast padding and stockinettes, Delta-Cast^® Printed Polyester Casts are fully waterproof and allow the patient to bathe, shower, or even swim without fear of ruining the cast.
