The Beckman Optima™ L-60 Ultracentrifuge features a microprocessor-based system design that ensures the highest throughput in the shortest possible time. It features a variable frequency controlled vacuum-encapsulated inductive driver that eliminates friction and improves performance. Optima™ L-60 also promotes efficient energy consumption by producing only one third of the BTU output of other standard centrifuges.

Equipped with a high torque direct drive induction motor and brushless system, the Optima™ L-60 guarantees excellent production efficiency with very low maintenance costs. The eye balance of the sample tube is achieved by its resistance to unbalanced drive characteristics. What's more, the L-60's smooth acceleration/deceleration curve allows gentle handling of samples.

Additional attributes of the Beckman Optima™ L-60 Ultracentrifuge include: a diagnostic display to identify conditional errors, a 0-40°C temperature control range, and an automatic restart system in the event of power loss.
