This Beckman Coulter Biomek 2000 is in good physical condition and passes all diagnostics without fault; however, during operation it stops and reports "Motor stalled on axis Z”.
This error occurs almost exclusively after picking up a tool. We replaced the Z-axis motor, but the error persisted.
Inspected by Technician and in Good Physical Condition
Our technical staff inspected this Biomek 2000 and found everything to be in good working order; however, due to the persistent Z-axis motor error, we are selling this instrument as For Parts. We could not find a solution to this problem. Our technician performed the following services during testing:
- Replaced the Z-axis motor
- Lubricated motors and robotics
- Recalibrated the deck
