The Quickprepare is an automated spiral plating system for quantitative microbiological inoculation. It dispenses a microbial suspension onto a rotating agar plate while the dispensing tip moves along a radial path. This motion creates a spiral deposition pattern in which the sample becomes progressively more dilute across the plate. The resulting distribution supports microbial enumeration over a broad concentration range without conventional serial dilution for every plate. Microprocessor control coordinates sample uptake, inoculation, cleaning, and operating parameters. The dispensing assembly is designed to accommodate differences in agar thickness while limiting damage to the agar surface. Automatic wash cycles clean the inoculation pathway between samples and support repeated operation. The system is intended for microbial enumeration, culture-media quality control, and routine testing in food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, research, and inspection laboratories.
