Description

The eATC-M is an automated PCR thermal cycler designed for integration with robotic workstations. It uses protocol-based computer control and an electrically actuated heated lid to support automated operation. The instrument is configured so a robotic arm can approach and handle the system from multiple directions. An onboard display provides operating-status information for local setup and offline debugging. External liquid cooling transfers thermal load away from the workstation enclosure. The thermal block uses semiconductor temperature control and supports gradient PCR operation. Interchangeable 96-well and 384-well formats allow the system to accommodate different amplification throughputs. The design combines automated handling, evaporation control, and external heat rejection in a compact workstation module.
