Description

The S-ICD system is first and only subcutaneous implantable defibrillator that protect you from sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) without touching the heart and vasculature in the world. Similar to intravenous ICD, the S-ICD system uses pulse generators to perform life-saving treatments. Different from intravenous ICD, the S-ICD system uses a subcutaneous electrode and analyzes the heart rhythm instead of individual beats to effectively sense, distinguish and convert VT / VF. Implanting a transvenous implantable defibrillator can extend a patient's life for many years.
