The Abbott CELL-DYN 1700 is a multiparameter hematology analyzer designed for use in clinical laboratories as well as physician office laboratories. This Abbott hematology analyzer was developed to address the hematology needs of today's changing laboratory environment.

Low maintenance, closed-tube sampling, small sample requirements, and high reliability are features expected in modern hematology laboratories and what the CELL-DYN 1700 provides. The analyzer processes 71 samples per hour and offers full data management and graphical data storage for 10,000 samples.

The Abbott Cell - DYN 1700 Hematology Analyzer produces the following measurements on tripotassium EDTA (K3 EDTA) anticoagulated whole blood. Wbc, rbc, hgb, plt, lym, % lym, gran, % gran, mid, % mid, MCV, hct, MCH, McHc, rdw, mpv, pct, pdw. Applications for the Cell-Dyn 1700 Analyzer include two-dimensional laser platelet and red blood cell analysis, three-dimensional MCV measurement to ensure accurate red blood cell analysis, single-step dilution reticulocyte procedures, and five-part white blood cell identification. Additional system attributes include a single-tube closed sampler with barcode reader and an anti-RBC mode for reduced interference.
