The 28 mL PTFE digestion tube is intended for small-volume analytical sample preparation. It can be used to dissolve and digest samples before chromatographic, spectroscopic, mass-spectrometric, and atomic-analysis procedures. The tube is suitable for soil, biological specimens, food, dairy products, agricultural materials, feed, metals, and mineral samples. Its PTFE body provides resistance to strong acids, strong bases, aqua regia, and common organic solvents. The material remains stable during high-pressure and high-temperature digestion procedures. It tolerates short-term temperatures up to 250°C and prolonged temperatures up to 210°C. The smooth internal surface minimizes adhesion, retained liquid, and cleaning effort.
