Waste Gypsum Testing

Waste gypsum is an industrial waste residue containing calcium sulfate as the main component. Waste gypsum is in powder form, and its main component is calcium sulfate, with a content of more than 80%. Other components are oxides of silicon, aluminum, iron, magnesium, sodium, potassium, phosphorus, sulfur, titanium, manganese, cerium, carbon, fluorine and other elements.

Emission from waste gypsum are significant. About 5 tons of phosphogypsum can be discharged for every ton of phosphoric acid produced. If a large amount of waste gypsum is not disposed and piled up randomly, it will not only occupy a large area of land, but also pollute water bodies and soil. For example, the fluorine content in fluorogypsum is as high as 3.07%, of which 2.05% is water-soluble. If it is not handled properly, it will harm agricultural production and human health and threaten the growth and reproduction of livestock.

STEMart provides comprehensive waste gypsum testing services to ensure that the waste gypsum meets the required standards and that it is safe and effective for reuse.
