Unilateral Ureteral Obstruction (UUO) Animal Model (CAT#: STEM-AE-0073-WXH)

Introduction

Kidney disease is very common clinically, and changes in kidney function are closely related to the cardiovascular system. Whether it is primary glomerular disease, diabetes or ureteral obstruction, renal function damage is closely related to the degree of renal fibrosis. The unilateral ureteral obstruction (UUO) model is an ideal pathological model for imitating human obstructive nephropathy, and is often used in the study of the mechanism of renal fibrosis.

Applications

• Study on the Mechanism of Renal Fibrosis.
• Drug development, drug screening and efficacy research.

Procedure

1. Anesthesia.
2. Open the abdominal cavity to find the ureter: fix the mouse on the operating board, disinfect the abdomen with iodine, cut the abdominal skin and muscle, open the intestine with a cotton swab, and find the left ureter.
3. Ligation of the ureter.
4. Suture: put the mouse intestine back into the abdominal cavity, suture layer by layer, and the operation is over.
