The Tissue-Tek TEC III is a complete embedded center system consisting of three separate modules: the thermal console, the central paraffin dispenser workstation with cold spot, and the cryogenic console.

The Tissue-Tek heat console has two chambers that regulate from 50'C to 70'C. The anterior chamber holds tapes of tissue specimens processed prior to paraffin embedding, and the posterior chamber has a storage and warming base. The console has a separate display that shows when the cabin is heated.

The Central Paraffin Dispenser for the Tissue-Tek TEC III Embedding Center is the central workstation for heating and dispensing paraffin. The workstation includes a heated 2-liter paraffin chamber, a heated directional platform, a patented "cold spot" for cooling specimens to the point where the first paraffin deposit is made, plus a dispensing via finger touch control or foot switch Paraffin dispenser island. Featuring a durable nylon work surface, the large orientation platform is heated to ensure that the paraffin does not solidify during the preliminary stages of embedding.
