Sorvall T6000D and RT6000D are high capacity benchtop centrifuges. Designed with the end user in mind, these centrifuges combine maximum flexibility with streamlined operation. Similar to other reliable Sorvall desktop models, the T6000D and RT6000D meet a wide variety of centrifugation applications.

The Sorvall T6000D centrifuge features a digital readout display, closed-loop speed control, and a transparent chamber door that allows rotors to operate. The door is balanced for easy opening and safe closing. Manually lock the lid latch by turning the door release knob counterclockwise to the locked position, then when the rotor begins to rotate, the mechanical interlock engages to prevent the chamber door from being opened during operation.

On the other hand, the Sorvall RT6000D centrifuge combines the features of the T6000D with the addition of refrigeration. This Sorvall refrigeration system consists of an evaporator, a rotor chamber and a low temperature condensing unit. The RT6000D is designed to stay within 1°C over the operating range of -5°C to +25°C, meeting the needs of refrigerated centrifugation.

Both Sorvall centrifuges also carry rotary motion, self-centering drives, with a diamond hexagonal drive spindle to ensure proper seating of the rotors. Meanwhile, this model has a slow-start feature that slowly accelerates the rotor from 0 to 600 rpm.
