Sorvall RC-3B Superspeed Centrifuge, 6000 rpm, model RC-3B, is manufactured by Thermo Scientific. The Sorvall RC-3B High Capacity Centrifuge is a high capacity refrigerated floor model designed to provide outstanding efficiency, flexibility, and convenience essential in today’s lab test centers. The Sorvall centrifuge features the optionalH6000 rotor and buckets (6 place x 1 liter), and can reach a maximum speed of up to 6,000 rpm. With its range of advanced features, the RC 3B Superspeed provides remarkably smooth, fast, and quiet operation.
Equipped with a Universal/Drive motor, automatic shut-off, and automatic programmed acceleration and braking features, the RC-3B Centrifuge offers easy operation and requires very little maintenance. The motor armature is engineered to allow quiet operation by minimizing vibration over a full range of speeds. The user can also set time, temperature, speed, and parameters any time in the duration of the run. Moreover, the RC-3B centrifuge drive system is capable of reaching maximum rotor speed while maintaining ideal temperature levels—all without the use of a vacuum system.
The door interlock feature of the Sorvall RC-3B Centrifuge prevents the door from opening when the rotor begins accelerating. Like all Sorvall models, this centrifuge also eliminates the use of CFCs during refrigeration. Other features include a timer, dial control functions, and an electrical circuit breaker.
