This strong cation-exchange medium is designed for purification of antibodies, proteins, peptides, and nucleic acids. It uses highly crosslinked porous polystyrene-divinylbenzene monodisperse microspheres. A hydrophilic surface layer reduces nonspecific adsorption. Sulfonic-acid ligands provide strong cation-exchange binding. The 30 µm particle size improves resolution in demanding separations. The rigid matrix supports high flow and operation up to the stated pressure. High dynamic lysozyme capacity supports productive preparative purification. Broad pH stability allows repeated cleaning-in-place. The medium can be used in capture, intermediate purification, and polishing processes.
