This crosslinked agarose medium is designed for size-exclusion purification of proteins, nucleic acids, and peptides. It uses six-percent crosslinked agarose gel particles. Molecules are separated according to their access to the internal pore structure. The medium provides a broad globular-protein exclusion range. Low nonspecific adsorption supports product recovery during purification. The crosslinked matrix provides resistance to denaturants and multiple organic solvents. Broad pH stability supports cleaning-in-place over an extended range. The medium can be reused for repeated fractionation processes. It is suitable for samples with substantial molecular-size differences and moderate resolution requirements.
