This second-generation multi-angle light-scattering detector is designed for polymers and biomacromolecules. It extends the measurable molecular-weight and radius-of-gyration ranges of the previous design. A combined conformation model supports analysis of ultrahigh-molecular-weight species with radii above 50 nm. Classical extrapolation methods including Zimm, Debye, Berry, and Guinier are built into the analytical platform. Adjustable laser power accommodates both weakly and strongly scattering samples. The low-volume inert flow cell supports aqueous and organic mobile phases. It is compatible with HPLC and UHPLC systems without significant loss of chromatographic resolution. Intuitive software simplifies data processing without requiring a single assumed molecular model.
