The SampleTite™ Prime Specimen Containers manufactured by Alpha Laboratories are designed for the safe collection, storage and transportation of biological samples. The jars are made from durable polypropylene. SampleTite™ Prime Specimen Containers are food contact approved and have been tested for suitability with aggressive chemicals such as formaldehyde. They are widely used in a range of applications such as pathology, histology, water sampling and metals analysis. The high-clarity jar walls feature graduations in 10ml increments on 3 sides for easy observation of content volumes. The base of each container is desinged with easy to grip ridges to ensure opening and closing the container is easy, even when wearing gloves. These robust containers are ideal for liquid or solid biological specimen collection, storage and transportation in harsh conditions. A process validation has been carried out on these disposable plastic specimen containers to ensure the unique “double seal” closure technology remains leak-proof under a pressure differential of not less 95 kPa (0.95 bar,14 psi). The jars are only certified to be leak-proof to 95kPa when used with the SampleTite™ Prime range of colour caps. This certification makes them suitable for sample transport according to UN3373 packaging instructions, when combined with appropriate secondary and tertiary packaging such as Rigid Flexible Packaging Systems.
