This Protein G affinity medium is designed for purification of antibodies from different species. It uses a four-percent high-flow agarose matrix coupled with recombinant Protein G. The ligand selectively binds immunoglobulins and compatible Fc fragments. It can process cell-culture supernatants and cell extracts. Multipoint ligand coupling reduces ligand loss during repeated operation. The medium is suitable for both laboratory-scale and industrial-scale IgG purification. High-flow performance allows relatively rapid processing of large sample volumes. Broad chemical compatibility supports exposure to selected denaturants, detergents, acids, and alcohols.
