Refrigeration Power Supply YD-III, -20°C Maximum Freezing (CAT#: STEM-AL-2445-ZJF)

The Refrigeration Power Supply YD-III is a refrigeration control unit for adding cryo-cooling capability to compatible microtomes. It supplies controlled cooling to the cryo-clamp, cryo-console, freezing stage, and cooling knife arrangement. The display presents the temperatures of the principal cooled components. Semiconductor refrigeration supports compact and low-noise operation. Automatic defrost management returns the system to its cooling state after a defrost cycle. The magnetic cryo-console can be removed or repositioned during setup and cleaning. Compatibility with several microtome configurations allows the same cooling concept to support different sectioning ranges. The unit is intended for laboratories performing frozen or temperature-assisted sectioning.
