The Recombinant Human IL-22 Protein manufactured by Seafrom is suitable for studying pro-inflammatory effects and immune responses. IL-22 is a member of the IL-10 regulatory cytokine family, which includes IL-10, IL-19, IL-20, IL-22, IL-24, and IL-26. While these family members share some homology in their amino acid sequences, they have distinct biological functions. IL-22 is produced by T lymphocytes, inhibits Th2 cell production of IL-4, and induces acute-phase response in the liver and pancreas. IL-22 signals through a receptor system composed of IL-10Rβ/CRF2-4 and IL-22R, both of which belong to the class II cytokine receptor family. The lyophilized form can be stored at 4°C for 24 months. After reconstitution, the liquid can be stored at -20°C for 6-12 months, and it should be avoided to undergo repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Specification
Expression Host: Human HEK293 Cells Synonyms: Interleukin-22, IL-TIF, Cytokine ZCYTO18 Protein Sequence: DNA sequence encodes human IL-22 (NP_065386.1) with a His tag at the C-terminus, contains 152 amino acids, predicted molecular weight of 17.6 kD. Purity: ≥95%, analyzed by SDS-PAGE and HPLC. Endotoxin Level: <0.1 EU/μg (gel clot method). Biological Activity: Depends on its ability to activate STAT under receptor ligand interaction; determined by its ability to induce IL-10 secretion in human colon cancer cells. Expected ED50 for this effect is 0.7–1.0 ng/mL. Purification Method: Chromatographic purification.
