This strong anion-exchange medium is designed for purification of proteins, nucleic acids, peptides, and endotoxin-containing process streams. It uses six-percent crosslinked agarose functionalized with quaternary ammonium groups. The permanently charged ligand provides strong anion-exchange functionality. Large particles provide high permeability and very low operating backpressure. The medium supports linear flow from 1200 to 1800 cm/h under the specified pressure condition. Broad chemical compatibility permits exposure to common buffers, denaturants, alcohols, and alkaline cleaning solutions. The matrix tolerates the stated steam-treatment conditions in water. Its scalable high-flow format can shorten processing time in downstream manufacturing.
