Pureair Fan Filter Unit manufactured by Pure Air Systems is a self-contained, motorized air supply module equipped with either HEPA or ULPA filters to supply purified air to cleanrooms.
Depending on the application, the unit can be used in either horizontal or vertical flow positions.
The system ceiling grid is the installation space.
Several hundred to several thousand FFU are required in a large cleanroom.
Among the components of the unit are a fan shroud, a fan/motor mount, a centrifugal fan, a fan motor, and a HEPA filter. A fan shroud contains an air intake and two inclined ends, and a fan/motor is mounted on the fan/motor mount below the air intake, with the centrifugal fan blowing air radially towards the fan shroud, and a HEPA filter providing the outlet for the air.
