Gold nanowires (AuNWs) demonstrate significant promise for use in micro- and nanoelectronics, as well as plasmonic waveguides, due to their low electrical resistance. Moreover, their excellent electric conductivity, chemical stability, thermal inertness, and biocompatibility make them desirable in the field of nanodevices and biosensing. Furthermore, their sensitivity to H2O2 is advantageous for constructing oxidase-based biosensors.
